Presidents Message

Dear Conway Ranch Enthusiasts:

I want to thank the many individuals and businesses that helped shape this important foundation with their participation and support. It was our pleasure to serve you. Whether you came to fish one of our beautiful ponds, took a tour or came just to feed the fish, we hope you had a wonderful time.

Our third year was successful and very productive. With your support we have been able to repair more fencing, complete the new entry gate. We have installed the information kiosk boards and cannot wait for you to see them. The sprinkler system at the Catch & Keep pond has been completed. We added a deicer to the Glory pond for optimal fish health over the winter. Jimmy, our facilities manager, fashioned a drip system for the trees at the entry gate and at the Float Tube Pond. We have stocked the Glory pond with Alpers Rainbow Trout, Browns and Cutthroat. We also added more Browns and Cutthroats to the Float Tube Pond. Believe me; your donations do make a difference.

The Conway Ranch Foundation would greatly appreciate your support for our education and restoration programs. Your contributions will enable us to operate and fund programs that promote wholesome family activities and to further preserve the historic Conway Ranch.

We look forward to seeing you in 2012.

Tim Alpers

UPDATE:

On January 15, 2012 Tim Alpers resigned his position of Board President.  Tim is reentering public life as the District 3 candidate for the Mono County Board of Supervisors.  The Conway Ranch Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank Tim for all the effort and contribution that he has given to the foundation over the past three years.  We hope Tim looks back on his time with us with great pride and satisfaction.

Look what we have done in 2011 with your help!

2011 has been an exciting and productive year at Conway Ranch.  With your help we installed six boards on the information kiosk.

At the Catch & Keep Pond we have completed the irrigation system.  This season we sold over 700 pounds of Alpers Rainbow Trout to happy guests.  Not to worry, we will restock the pond for the 2012 Opener.

At the Trophy Float Tube Pond we painted the shed to better blend with the environment.  We planted 325 Brown Trout and 100 Cutthroat to further enhance the Float Tube Pond experience.

We have continued to repair the fence line and have finished reworking the entry gate.  Jimmy, our Facilities Manager, did an amazing job installing a decorative and functional irrigation system for the new entry trees!

The Glory Pond has been stocked with 600 pounds of Alpers Rainbows, Brown and  Cutthroats!

Thanks!  We could not have done it without you!
