Dear Conway Ranch Enthusiasts:    

 

I want to thank the many individuals and businesses that have so generously underwritten our cause.  Fishing and the family values it supports are more important than ever.

 

Our first year has been very productive.  We have transformed an old shed into a state of the art Float Tube ancillary building to serve our angling guests.

 

We have planted a lawn at the Catch and Keep Pond along with 3 Aspen trees.  We have also planted 3 new Aspen trees at the Float Tube Lake.  Landscaping and erosion control are priorities for the Foundation. 

 

The most exciting news is that we have installed a beautiful information kiosk just outside the Ranch entry gate.  We plan to have the information boards installed for your enjoyment by April.

 

The Conway Ranch Foundation would greatly appreciate your support for our education and restoration programs.  Your contributions will enable us to operate and fund programs that promote wholesome family activities and to further preserve the historic Conway Ranch. 

 

With your continued support, we can make this unique ranch a highly functional showpiece that we all can be proud of.  Contributions to the Conway Ranch Foundation received by January 31, 2010, are tax deductible for the 2009 tax year.

The coming year will bring new angling opportunities at the Conway Ranch.  In addition to the Trophy Float Tube Pond and the Catch & Keep Pond, we will be opening two new ponds; both are shore fly fishing, barbless, catch and release.  The Challenge Pond is the perfect place to learn the art or hone your skills.  The Glory Pond lives up to its name and will not disappoint.  As with all activities on the ranch, reservations are required.  We will start taking reservations on January 1^st.

 

 

 

2009 has been an exciting year for the Conway Ranch Foundation.  Donors have been very generous with cash, products and discounted items.  For example, Rick and Bonnie Noles of Lee Vining donated a wonderful 1965 Shasta trailer that we use for our Office/Tackle Shop!  Alpine Signs and Hendrix Outdoors have discounted supplies.  Creative Image Embroidery donated our clothing rack.  The Trout Fly / Trout Fitter not only told customers about the ranch, in September they posted an article on their website giving us our best month to date.
